The foundation of our weekly menu will be constructed
from the practice of balancing the chakras.
Each day will be devoted to one of the seven major chakras.
The idea is to eat by colour associated to each chakra along with the vitamins that correlate with the organs that are governed by the particular chakra of choice. Therefor nourishing not only body function but also emotional states.
Food and nutrition are the back bone of wellbeing and vitality.
Combine this with a lifestyle, that includes exercise, spirituality and expression. You will have the essential tools required to cultivate and nurture,
free flowing and abundant Qi, that will sustain your entire body.
This site is dedicated to creating a weekly plan that will draw on multiple modalities to find its
own well rounded approach to cultivating wellbeing. Chinese medicine, Western nutrition
and the Vedic Chakra system are the foundation of these daily eating and lifestyle plans.
The weekly food planner, is designed to make it easier to maintain a conscious health commitment.
We will identify the chakras, understand their colour vibrations, the emotions they relate to
along with the organs and body functions they influences.
With this in mind we will take it a step further and combine elements of Western knowledge of vitamins and minerals.
Along with some of the principals of Chinese medicine, that relate to organs, emotions and body function.
Sometimes we will find that the concepts of different practices overlap and possibly contradict each other. We will try to look at how they possibly relate, by briefly discussing the relationship and taking it into consideration from there. We will look at how we can integrate multiple ideas and choose the ones that stand out as the most significant or relevant to our objective.
At the end of each daily food plan, we will add extra tips that will help educate us
about strengthening the chakra we have chosen for that day.
Our week will end with Saturday, as it does according to the old testament and ancient Hebrew knowledge. Shabat is the seventh day of creation and the sacred day of rest. It is actually Saturday and not Sunday as we know it in the west.
Sunday became the Christian day of rest much later in history, and was changed for political reasons.
It is believed through modalities such as numerology that numbers hold energy patterns that are connected to the greater universe. Therefor it is important to follow original calendars in order to harness the full energy of a specific day,
current, future or past astrological event.

WEEK ONE MENU
..........................................................................................................................................
As part of this holistic approach to food and nutrition we will try to include as many gluten free, sugar free recipes, along with a minimal animal protein diet.
Not all these recipes will tick every box, however our intention is to focus heavily on this way of cooking.

This website is a reference site that compiles years of research. I have added links or book references to original sites that I have used their information or their recipes. I pay full respect to the original recipe, and content owners. I sincerely value the time and effort taken by many clever individuals who have spent so many hours putting together amazing, sites, blogs or recipe websites. I like to think of my site as a vehicle to help navigate through the food and wellbeing maze. I hope that love, life, live acts as a source of information, similar to that of a blog site where images and references are shared and celebrated. I hope that people will be able to explore the links I have added to further develop their knowledge.
I have modified some recipes to be more gluten, sugar or dairy free.
Thank you to all those clever and dedicated food buffs and knowledge sharers out there!
(A reference list of all the blogs I use will also be included in the index)
